Clinical Staff

General Summary:

Our clinical staff is made up of Case Managers, Therapists, and Group Facilitators that are overseen by our Clinical Director. 

Performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas:

1. Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
2. Continuous training in areas where needed, attendance at seminars, and continue earning CEUs.
3. Crisis intervention-recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.
4. Client education-provide current alcohol/drug information and available resources to resolve problems.
5. Refer clients requiring services to appropriate agencies after clearing through the Clinical Director. 
6. Ensure that all services being provided follow HIPAA and CFR 42 and DHCS standards.
7. Communicate with families or referral sources as deemed appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Depending on the level, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Completion of a Master’s degree as an MFT/LCSW.
2. Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources.
3. Assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning and documentation skills.
4. Knowledge of treatment and referral community in Orange County. 
5. Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practice including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
6. Current certification in First Aid/CPR
7. Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 requirements.

Competency: 

1. Demonstrates knowledge of client rights and confidentiality laws related to addictions.
2. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to assess the client’s dependence/addictive behaviors in relation to his physical status.
3. Demonstrates knowledge of community resources, including social and educational services, and ability to make appropriate referrals.
4. Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacological issues of addictions.
5. Demonstrates knowledge of the biopsychosocial influences and effects of dependencies and addictive behaviors on the client and his significant others.
