Clinical Staff
General Summary:
Our clinical staff is made up of Case Managers, Therapists, and Group Facilitators that are overseen by our Clinical Director.
Performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas:
- Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
- Continuous training in areas where needed, attendance at seminars, and continue earning CEUs.
- Crisis intervention-recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.
- Client education-provide current alcohol/drug information and available resources to resolve problems.
- Refer clients requiring services to appropriate agencies after clearing through the Clinical Director.
- Ensure that all services being provided follow HIPAA and CFR 42 and DHCS standards.
- Communicate with families or referral sources as deemed appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Depending on the level, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Completion of a Master’s degree as an MFT/LCSW.
- Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources.
- Assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of treatment and referral community in Orange County.
- Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practice including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 requirements.
Competency:
- Demonstrates knowledge of client rights and confidentiality laws related to addictions.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to assess the client’s dependence/addictive behaviors in relation to his physical status.
- Demonstrates knowledge of community resources, including social and educational services, and ability to make appropriate referrals.
- Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacological issues of addictions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the biopsychosocial influences and effects of dependencies and addictive behaviors on the client and his significant others.
